2-Day Tarangire NP and Materuni Waterfalls Safari

Day 1: Tarangire National Park

You’ll be picked up from your hotel or the airport and set off for an exciting journey to Tarangire National Park, where you’ll enjoy a thrilling game drive and lunch surrounded by breathtaking scenery.

Famous for its towering baobab trees and large herds of elephants, Tarangire also offers sightings of zebras, wildebeests, antelopes, water buffaloes, and hosts the highest concentration of baboons in the world. After a day of adventure, you’ll return to Arusha for dinner and an overnight stay at a comfortable midrange lodge.

Day 2: Materuni Waterfalls

Your guide will pick you up from your hotel and take you on a scenic two-hour drive to the picturesque Materuni Village, nestled in lush tropical rainforest at the base of Materuni Waterfalls. Here, you’ll experience the vibrant culture of the Chagga people sample traditional banana beer and take part in the entire coffee-making process, from roasting the beans to brewing a fresh cup using traditional methods.

Enjoy a delicious local lunch prepared by the villagers, offering you an authentic taste of Chagga cuisine. Afterward, you’ll head to Chemka Hot Springs, where you can relax, swim in the crystal-clear waters, and take in the stunning natural surroundings. In the evening, you’ll be dropped off at your preferred location in Arusha or at the airport.
